In addition to our livestock we also have a small scale maple syrup operation. When the weather begins to warm during the day and our snow begins to melt buckets can be seen hanging throughout Ashdale, collecting what we have deemed one of nature’s sweetest gifts…”sap for our maple syrup”. After chores are done, we can be seen walking the hillside, gathering the sap, and returning to the Sugar Shack. In our  small Sugar Shack on any given evening, steam can be seen rolling from the roof top, as voices are heard laughing from inside, and the sweet smell of sap boiling can be smelt from the driveway.
